222 Wrong Movements

A new page is turning in the field of Finnish dance. The 50+ Dance Collective presents its first stage production, 222 Wrong Movements, directed by award-winning lighting, video and set designer, and theatre director Pavel Semchenko.

How does something go wrong — differently than expected? When was it supposed to happen, and in what way? Was it supposed to happen at all?

222 Wrong Movements explores alternative perspectives on making and interpreting right and wrong choices, as well as different ways of responding to both living and non-living environments. What is unnatural or too natural, unpredictable or unusual — yet not necessarily a failure?

Verbal expression transforms into a language of movement through bodies and objects, as well as through sound and light. The stage is inhabited by eight dancers over the age of 50.
